Podcast – A digital audio file that is uploaded to the internet and distributed to various podcast directories, then downloaded by end users via RSS Feed to consume when and where it is the most convenient.
This definition doesn’t exactly scream “you need me!” to the unfamiliar on either end of the podcast spectrum. You may not understand the benefits of a podcast and listeners may not know the benefits of listening to your podcast. But, your personal message should not be limited to personal interactions, and a podcast can help bridge that gap by making your message mobile.

No matter what your business, hobby or message may be, your owe it to yourself and those who may follow you to share your story! Nothing will inspire action within others like the genuine testimony of those willing to share.

As with any form of media, podcasting takes time. But, there are definitely ways to cut down on that time if you have a pre-established audience or client base.
Keep in mind, the success or failure of your podcast lies squarely on YOUR shoulders. I’m sure you’ve heard the eye-rolling adage: you get out of it what you put in to it. But, that phrase is especially relevant to any creative endeavor, and to make your podcast stand out in a sea of over 2 million (Yes! MILLION) shows, you’re going to need to use a little creativity.

Well, let’s keep in mind, that there are nowhere near that many podcasts related to your topic. Plus, there’s actually fewer than 300k active podcasts, meaning they have released a new episode in the last 60 days. See, your odds just went WAY up and you haven’t even hit record yet.

What I can assure you of, is that product or topic specific, informative podcast episodes will allow you to build a digital library of information for not only your existing customer base, but new customers as well through leads created by new listeners of your show.
Never shortchange your clients on the merit of a podcast. Clients are becoming very tech driven and a podcast may be exactly what they’re looking for to learn more about products and services that fulfill their wants and needs.
Simply put, there’s no other platform that has the flexibility, reach and value of a podcast.
